Paramore’s new album signified a new era in their sound. The band was once known for their strong, pop-punk sounds, but their latest album is instead filled with fun, heavy synth music that is paired with their usual somber, dark and self-depreciating lyrics.
As the aim of the design was to create a “limited edition”, I wanted to elevate and re-define the CD as an object and make it more meaningful for its owner. Inspired by existing K-Pop album packaging, I decided to re-design the typical crystal CD case found in Western music, and turn the ownership of the album into a meaningful experience, especially for fans who wanted to feel closer to the band.
Key achievements
• Created an built a functioning CD product in a "limited edition" format
• Used film and polaroid photography to create ephemera within the CD package
• Used InDesign and other pre-press and production methods to setup the correct printing of the CD package
